Guising Wax Melt

During Samhain, the veil between the land of the living, and the land of the dead is at its thinnest. It was once believed that malevolent souls and spirits would return during this time for vengeance. People would dress up and paint their faces (disguise themselves) in order to blend in with or confuse these spirits. This tradition is thought to have been an inspiration for modern day dressing up for Trick or Treating.
